Howdy.
It's me, Masha. Welcome. For some of you, this is your first twitch account. I get it. It's weird. Lots of apps, chat, bits, emotes, badges, whatever. It's a lot.
And so you guys asked about it. And rather than give the same bad information 40 times, I'm gonna document the right information once. Here we care.
So, because I love you, I made a bunch of FAQs. Enjoy!
Here is a fantastic article that will answer more questions than I ever could.
One of the easiest ways to cast Twitch to TV is through the Twitch App. This helps you watch on your phone while you're cooking, hanging out, breastfeeding, working on keyboards, watering plants, or ignoring calls from your family.
Some of the options are:
Your TV is a smart TV and already have the Twitch app natively installed.
You have a smart TV like Samsung or an LG
You have a Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku**, Nvidea Shield or similar.
You have a laptop or desktop computer connected directly to your TV.
You have a PS4, PS5, XBox, or Nintendo Switch
Twitch is the premier platform for watching esports tournaments, industry events, and gaming personalities. Amazon pulled the official app from Roku Channel Store in 2017, but you can still use the Unofficial Twitch or TTV Stream apps to watch Twitch on Roku.
The Easy Way
Click the "notification bell" on my twitch page, and ensure you have notifications turned on for Twitch on your phone.
The Hard Way
Here's an article on how to get text notifications when I start streaming (IFTTT)
Want a desktop notification? No problem. Got an article or that too (WikiHow)
My friend Jari get's e-mail notifications. How? Here's another IFTTT.
Right here on twitch, or also on YouTube when I get around to uploading the old / deleted vods.
Check out my schedule on Twitch! It should be up to date, more or less.
